Ganesh Daimari to receive Karmayogi Award 2025 for his work towards strengthening the Bodo community

New Delhi, October 15th, 2025: My Home India has announced that Shri Ganesh Daimari Ji, General Secretary of the All Bathou Mahasabha, will be honoured with the 12th Karmayogi Award 2025 for his contribution towards preserving and strengthening the cultural identity of the Bodo community. The award ceremony will be held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, where Shri Daimari will also receive a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with the citation.

The event will be attended by Mananiya Shri Ramlal JiAkhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh RashtriyaSwayamsevak Sangh, and Shri Durgadas Uike Ji, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, among other dignitaries.

At 46, Daimari has played a significant role in uniting the Bathou sect of the Bodo community spread across several states in the Northeast India, as well as in parts of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. Under his leadership, the community has been working to revive its traditional practices and promote scientific and logical understanding of its faith. His efforts have also helped prevent large-scale conversions and inspired many to reconnect with their ancestral roots.

During his tenure, the community has undertaken several initiatives to preserve its traditions. Temples are being constructed across villages where people gather every week to perform puja and kirtan, promoting a sense of unity and belonging. Schools are also being established to impart both modern education and traditional values, helping children stay connected with their roots.

Recognising his contribution and leadership, the All BathouMahasabha recently amended its internal rule to allow Daimari a third consecutive term as General Secretary, a rare exception that reflects the trust and confidence the community places in him.

Speaking about the announcement, Shri Sunil Deodhar Ji, Founder of My Home India and former National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said, “Ganesh Daimari’s work stands as a testament to India’s strength in preserving its cultural and spiritual identity. His dedication to empowering the Bodo community while ensuring their connection with traditional values is truly inspiring. Through the KarmayogiAward, we aim to recognise individuals who serve society selflessly and contribute meaningfully to nation building.

Instituted by My Home India, the Karmayogi Award recognises individuals who have worked with commitment and humility to bring positive change in society. The award is inspired by the vision of Swami Vivekananda, who believed in the power of selfless service as the foundation of national progress.

About My Home India

My Home India is a national voluntary organisation, working since 2005 to promote national integration and youth empowerment, with a special focus on students and communities of North-East India and other neglected regions of our country, such as Janajatiya hills, forest areas, and remote border regions. It serves as a vital bridge between the North-East with every other Bharatiya, fostering understanding, tolerance, oneness, brotherhood, unity, and cultural harmony.

Key initiatives include Sapno Se Apno Tak’, which has reunited over 3,800 children—separated due to various circumstances—with their families (including child trafficking and child labour) and Rashtrawad Par Manthan’, a platform that fosters inclusive and responsible nationalism among the youth.

Through its North-East Helpline, the organisation has supported over 5 lakh beneficiaries, providing timely assistance in matters such as safety, legal aid, and medical emergencies. It also extends consistent support to North-Eastern students in metro cities, ensuring they feel secure, connected, and valued.

Events like NESt. Fest and cultural exchanges continue to celebrate India’s diversity which has come out from interim unity while nurturing the national belonging.
