New Delhi — The Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), a statutory body of Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India is proud to announce the celebration of World Animal Day 2023.

World Animal Day is celebrated globally on 4th October in each year, which provides an opportunity to recognize the remarkable diversity of life on Earth and the critical role that animals play in our ecosystems. The AWBI invites you to join us in commemorating this significant day and collectively working towards a world where animals are not just protected but also cherished.

World Animal Day will take place at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre.TheHon’ble Ministerof Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri ParshottamRupala will be the Chief Guest and grace the Occasion. Hon’ble Minister of State of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri Sanjeev Balyan and Shri. L. Murugan will be the guest of honour. The event will acknowledge the tireless efforts of individuals, organizations, and communities in the field of animal welfare through offering an award ceremony.
